We get up every morning, hopefully we say a prayer, then the hustle & bustle starts. If you are young and live alone you are anxiously rushing through your morning routine. If you're old and live alone, you are anxiously checking your blood pressure or other vital signs. Am I ok today; you quietly say to yourself.
If you have children, you’re making sure that they experience a shower, a tooth brushing plus the necessary hygiene before leaving the house. Oh, then there is breakfast. Then off to work and school.
Now comes the hard part. The kids face the bullies and the cool kids at school. The adults face the bullies and the bosses at work. Similar life, but different ages. Everyone bites their tongue, because as a kid you don’t want to be targeted by the bullies and the cool kids and as an adult you don’t want to be targeted by the bullies at work or the head Boss. Everyone is anxious whether they know it or not in this society. The silent pressures we face ona daily basis amplify Our daily stresses. It’s not over. What about the curve balls life throws at you. Illnesses, death, job loss , divorce can happen to any family at any time.
How do we as a people keep calm during these storms that life throws at us. One word “Jesus”. follow how Jesus lived and we overcome the anxieties and stresses of this world. Jesus never Judged. Jesus healed the sick in multitudes. Jesus fed thousands with five loaves of bread and two fish. Jesus raised people from the dead. Jesus raised himself from the dead.
Put all your worries and cares on Jesus. Let Jesus handle your family. Let Jesus handle your schools and jobs. Let Jesus into all aspects of your life and miracles will happen. Rest in the grace of the Lord Jesus. How does one do this? Here’s a start. Pray this prayer sincerely.
Lord, I am a Sinner. Forgive me. I accept your death as the penalty for my sin, and recognize that Your mercy and grace is the gift because of Your great love, not based on anything I have done or accomplished. Cleanse me and make me your child. By Faith, I receive You into my heart as the Son of God and as Savior and Lord of my life. Starting now, help me live for You, with You in control. In the beautiful name of Jesus , Amen.
